Offset is out $15,000 after his ineffective attempt to woo ex Cardi B back.
The 27-year-old rapper shelled out the large amount for the banner of roses spelling ‘take me back Cardi’ when he crashed her Rolling Loud set on Saturday to beg forgiveness following cheating allegations according to TMZ.
Sources say the banner consisted of 2000 buds from Venus ET Fleur – famous for their real roses that last a year – and were bought ‘last minute’.
The red and white banner took 8 people to ‘assemble it in time for the gig.’
Meanwhile, Cardi B has denied that the act was all a publicity stunt.
The 26-year-old Bodak Yellow hitmaker’s denial comes after video emerged online of the rapper’s publicist leading Offset onto the stage, causing many to speculate Cardi was in on the whole thing.
In the video, Cardi’s ‘publicist/friend’ Patientce Foster leads the Migos rapper onto the stage. The MotorSport hitmaker hides his face behind a bunch of white flowers, before approaching his estranged wife shortly before her performance at the Los Angeles music festival.
However Cardi -whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar- said the act was ‘not staged’ according to TMZ.
And the I Like It rapper also defended Foster against those on social media who said she had betrayed Cardi by letting her ex hijack her show.
‘You can’t be mad at somebody for trying to help somebody else,’ she wrote on Instagram, claiming Patientce was close to both her and Offset. Offset -whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus- left his estranged wife unimpressed as he crashed her Rolling Loud show in Los Angeles on Saturday evening.
But Offset has stood by his actions as he took to Twitter on Sunday to insist Cardi B deserves a ‘public apology’, despite the backlash.
The Migos star tweeted: ‘All of my wrongs have been made public, i figure It’s only right that my apologies are made public too. ‘A n**** was just trying …..thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh’ (sic), he added.
During the show, Bodak Yellow rapper Cardi failed to raise a smile as Offset brought out a ‘take me back’ banner, made out of white and red roses, while issuing a grovelling apology.
Moments later, the Bad and Boujee hitmaker made his dramatic entrance, which was met with a mixture of cheers and boos.
Cardi appeared to huff and puff at the rapper’s grand gesture as she pulled back from him when he tried to reach out for her hand.In his second apology in just two days, the Georgia native said: ‘I just wanna tell you I’m sorry. In person, in front of the world. Whatever I gotta do to show you I love you.’
While the audience booed, Offset lowered his mic to share a few words with Cardi, before leaving the stage with his bold props.
Cardi, who was catapulted into the spotlight following her appearance on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop series, headlined the festival with fellow rappers Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black and Kylie Jenner’s ex Tyga.
Despite her unimpressed display, the mother pleaded with fans to treat her ex kindly after crashing her show. Citing the negative effect on Pete Davidson, who recently said he ‘doesn’t want to be on this earth anymore’, Cardi explained: ‘I know, I see a lot of people bashing me because they’re feeling because I’m defending my baby-father they’re thinking I’m gonna get back together with him.
‘I’m not saying that I’m going to get back together with him. I just don’t like that bashing online thing.
‘Just earlier, you saw just how Pete Davidson was talking about how he don’t even want to be on this earth because mad people be coming to him every single day.
‘I wouldn’t want my baby father to have that feeling because of millions of people be bashing him every day. That’s a nasty feeling. I wouldn’t want that. ‘God could give me and bring me the most perfect glamorous and fabulous man.
‘That perfect glamorous fabulous perfect man is not going to love my child the same way her father loves my child. So I don’t like that b******t.
‘Because I know how painful it is when you have millions of people bashing you every single day. I don’t like that and it doesn’t make me feel any better, period’, she added.
Cardi B announced the split on Instagram earlier this month, after more than a year of marriage.
Just a day before Cardi’s performance, he celebrated his 27th birthday and proclaimed his only wish for his special day was to reunite with his wife.
He said in a video shared to Instagram: ‘I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back, Cardi.’We’re going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologise to you Cardi. I embarrassed you. I made you go crazy.
‘I was partaking in activity that I shouldn’t have been partaking in. You know what I’m saying? For breaking your heart, for breaking our promise, for breaking God’s promise and being a selfish, messed up husband.
‘I’m trying to be a better person. I want to get this off my shoulders. I want to get this off my back. I apologise to you Cardi. I love you. Kulture, I want to spend Christmas with you.’The MotorSport hitmaker – who has been accused of trying to arrange a threesome with two other women – insisted he ‘didn’t f*** that girl’ but still sought forgiveness from his spouse.
He added: ‘I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. I’m sorry.
‘I am sorry for what I have done to you. I didn’t f**k that girl, but I was entertaining her, you know what I’m saying? I apologise, and I love you, and I hope you forgive me. My birthday wish is just to have you back.’
