ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo was named the Africa Digital Personality of the Year on Friday.
This happened at the eighth edition of the Africa Digital Economy Awards in Nairobi.
"I have this evening been named Africa Digital Personality of the Year at the eighth edition of the Africa Digital Economy Awards in Nairobi," Owalo said on his X account.
Africa Digital Awards is an annual digital event that celebrates, recognizes and rewards African digital players.
The Awards recognize digital creators and developers while celebrating users in digital finance, social media, Mobile, Agritech, Media, Telecommunications, and esports.
Owalo was appointed as a CS by President William Ruto in September 2022.
Owalo's core competency is in Macro and Micro- Economics; strategic planning; organizational restructuring; job evaluation and pay structure architecture.
He is also knowledgeable in performance management, management of strategic change; training needs assessment; organizational design; executive search selection and placement; human resource audit, market surveys and feasibility studies.
Owalo has designed over 50 strategic plans and aligned them to the Constitution of Kenya (2010), Kenya Vision 2030, the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, the African Union's Agenda 2064, and the East Africa Community's Vision 2050 among others.
