Kilifi man mourns wife allegedly stabbed to death by their house help

•Rahab was allegedly stabbed to death by her house help in Mnarani, Kilifi county on Thursday morning.

•According to a private guard, the house help escaped before officers from a private firm arrived for their morning duties.

In a statement on his Facebook page, 'Mmera Senior’ said he and his wife had plans and great projects to achieve before her gruesome murder.

He is the husband of the slain Kilifi County Chief Officer for Fisheries and Blue Economy Rahab Karisa.

Mmera penned an emotional tribute to mourn his wife via his socials.

"You didn't deserve it, you that cannot hurt a fly, you didn't. And your only mistake was asking a house girl who has stolen from you while you were away and mentioning to her that the following day you'd take her to the police," he said.

He revealed that Saturday, July 22, they could have happily celebrated her turning a year older.

"My childhood girlfriend, my friend, my wife, my mum, and the owner of my home - I am gonna mourn you properly later, for now, allow me to handle it, as you've always said, "Love you'll handle it, just as always".

Rahab was allegedly stabbed to death by her house help in Mnarani, Kilifi county on Thursday morning.

She returned to the country on Wednesday from a work trip in Italy.

According to a private guard, the house help escaped before officers from a private firm arrived for their morning duties.

Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung'aro eulogized Rahab as an industrious and hardworking officer.

He called on the police to investigate the matter expeditiously and bring the culprit to book.
