Police on Friday arrested five suspects over the death of a 37-year-old woman on June 26.
In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the suspects were arrested in Kayole Area 3.
According to DCI, the woman had just closed her M-Pesa shop at around 10 pm before three people on a motorbike attacked her.
"After ransacking her handbag for money and other valuables the suspects shot her and escaped. Police later collected two spent cartridges of 9mm calibre at the scene," the statement read.
Police recovered a gun during the operation.
According to DCI, the five suspects were also connected to a series of robberies reported in various parts of the city for the past two months.
Police impounded a white motorcycle belonging to one of the suspects.
The vehicle was allegedly used by the suspects as a gateway means.
The suspects are currently in custody for investigations before being arraigned.
