The Kenya Railways has moved to temporarily suspend Safari train services for Kisumu.
The Railways cooperation, on Thursday, announced the suspension of the safari train services on grounds that part of the rail tracks between Nakuru and Kisumu have been damaged due to the ongoing rains.
"We wish to notify members of the public that due to the heavy downpour that is being experienced countrywide, parts of our MGR track between Nakuru and Kisumu have been affected," the Railways cooperation said.
The Kenya Railways said the temporary suspension will be on May 5 and 7.
The management of the Railways cooperation said there is a team on the ground working around the clock to restore the track as soon as possible.
"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused," the management said.
