Police have arrested three men in the Kimilili sub-county in Bungoma county for allegedly killing a KDF officer.

Edward Barasa, who was a medical military officer attached to Moi Air Base barracks was found dead at a chang'aa den on Wednesday.

Confirming the incident, OCPD Kimilili Police Station, Mwita Marwa, said a fight broke out at the den where the deceased was attacked with a wooden stick by rowdy youth. 

He passed away as he was being transported to Kimilili Sub-County Hospital, after sustaining deep-cut wounds on the head and on his left hand.

Marwa warned the public against taking the law into their own hands, urging them to let the police handle any violations.

He warned that the law will not spare anyone who breaks it.

Investigations into the matter are underway.
