The Directorate of Criminal Investigation has arrested three suspected drug traffickers in possession of heroin and cocaine.
The department arrested two suspects in Uthiru and another one in Riruta.
The arrest was made by anti-narcotics detectives on Thursday where around 222 sachets of the drug were recovered.
"The drugs were recovered from a boda boda rider in Uthiru area, who is believed to have been making deliveries to potential clients," the tweet reads.
The cops bumped into the 32-year-old who was allegedly ferrying the drugs stashed in his jacket using a motorbike.
The suspect led the detectives to his accomplice’s house where a further recovery of the granular substance was recovered.
"Also recovered was dry weed with a street value of Sh100,000 wrapped in a manila shopping bag and two digital weighing scales," DCI said.
The arrest of the duo followed an operation in neighbouring Riruta Satellite the previous day.
The detectives also recovered 13 sachets of cocaine from another 40-year-old.
The three suspects are currently in custody at Muthaiga police station pending their arraignment.
They will be in court next week on Tuesday.
