Joseph Kiteme, 33, was this morning found dead outside his house in Mwingi town near the bus stop.

Kiteme who hails from Mui in Mwingi East was working as a tout at the bus park.

Mwingi central sub-county police commander Peter Mutuma said his body was found lying upward with blood in his mouth and nose.

"The deceased had been complaining of chest pains before his demise," said Mutuma.

He said his body was moved to Mwingi level 4 hospital awaiting autopsy as investigations into the cause of death start.

Morris Muema, his elder brother said the deceased was a calm person and wondered how his life could have been cut short in such a cruel manner.

"It means there is a lot of insecurity in Mwingi because I fail to understand how my brother was murdered in the middle of town," he claimed.

Muema added that he had planned to take his brother home as his health had deteriorated but when he arrived in Mwingi town, he found his lifeless body lying outside a room where he stayed.
