Several Azimio bigwigs have been blocked from leaving their homes as the whereabouts of Azimio leader Raila Odinga remain unclear.

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Raila's runningmate in last year's presidential election, is among those affected.

She reportedly spent the night at her home but was unable to get out of the compound with police having blocked the road.

It is not clear where Raila spent the night with little activity being seen at the road leading to his Karen home.

However, Raila has tweeted that he is on the way to the city.

"Naona Kazi Imeanza tuko njiani nasi. #DateWithDestiny20thMarch," he tweeted attaching a video of leaders at KICC.

Some MPs have already staged a sit-in at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in the CBD with police arresting a number of demonstrators.

The Azimio leaders are expected to lead protests at the city centre and proceed for a march to State House to "reclaim their stolen victory".
