• His slurred speech had many of us laughing
• He is in trouble with the law

Remember the man arrested by NTSA in 2016 highly intoxicated, and protesting arrest for drunk driving?

He was telling NTSA to stop arresting people like rats on the highway.

That was in 2016 when alco-blow was in effect on Kenyan roads.

Alex Sadi was slurring while being forced to blow into the gadget, and he told the officials that he felt he was being arrested like a rat. He told them to stop highway rat arrests.

Well Alex is now on the run.

His chemist in Mombasa has been discovered to have illegal stock of government drugs.

Drug enforcement authorities on Sunday March 12, raided the shop and recovered over ten boxes of assorted rugs and equipment worth sh2million.

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) on Sunday reported they raided his Kadunguni Pharmacy in Mtwapa, Mombasa where they recovered the drugs.

The agency's Head of Crime Investigations and Enforcement Unit, Mr Dennis Otieno, said they had received information about illegal operations at the chemist.

"We have been in Mombasa for the last week for our routine inspections and on Sunday we were within the Mtwapa area. The person is well known and we have been gathering intelligence on him," he said.

A tweet from the agency said

"Pharmacy and Poisons Board in their routine pharmacovigillance inspection visit of the coast region last night recovered govt KEMSA drugs at Kandunguni Chemist in Mtwapa estimate valued at Ksh. 2million. Pharmacy Owner Mr Alex Sadi on the run, manhunt ongoing!"

Otieno said they had received intel about illegal operations at the chemist. The store had a storage facility at the back where the goods were found, including government drugs. Investigations are ongoing.

"The owner of the pharmacy is a well-established person who witnesses reported stocking the drugs. If we had impounded him earlier on, we would have also found Augmentin labelled Kemsa, which we were told he had already sold by the time we arrived," added Mr Otieno.
