The body of murdered LQBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich kiptoo alias Chiloba's is heading home for burial.

The body was this morning removed from the MTRH morgue in Eldoret where it had been preserved.

Chiloba will be buried in Sergoit village home in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

His family couldn't hold their tears after viewing his body.

Forensic experts from the DCI homicide department have visited the house where slain LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich kiptoo alias Chiloba lived in Eldoret.

It's suspected that Chiloba was killed at his house located at Noble Breeze apartments along the road to Iten.

Before his body was found dumped at Hurlingham village near Kipkaren on January 3rd placed in a metalic box.

According to Chief government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor, three pairs of socks were found stuffed in Chiloba's mouth

He said at the time of death the deceased was not getting enough oxygen in his brain which was swollen.

He also had some injuries in the mouth. Oduor spoke at the Moi Referral Hospital after an exercise that took more than three hours.

The main suspects in the murder are freelance photographer Jackton Odhiambo and Dennis Litali.

The other three suspects are minors hence their identity hasn't been revealed to the public.

Litali who is also a 2nd runners up for East African body building 2022, told senior resident magistrate Richard Odenyo that his arrest was a cover-up by police.

It is alleged that Chiloba was killed in what seems to be a love triangle.

His death upset many due to the manner in which he was killed. May he rest in peace and may his killers face justice
