Education CS Ezekiel Machogu has announced that the candidates who sat their 2022 KCPE have been placed in various secondary schools.

Machogu asked parents to send the candidates' index number to 22263 to know which school their children have been placed in.

The SMS platform is available for all mobile networks and will be charged Sh25 each.

The candidates can also check on the Ministry of Education website for the Form One selection details.

A total of 1,244,188 candidates were registered for KCPE across 493 examination storage and distribution centres.

Machogu released the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results on December 21, 2022.

He said he would ensure a 100 per cent transition to secondary school.

The CS cautioned parents from keeping their children at home when admission to Form One is opened.

"All candidates whose results i'm releasing today will be admitted to Form 1 under the 100 per cent transition policy," he said.

This was the second-last edition of the KCPE examination before the 8-4-4 system of education is completely phased out of the primary school curriculum next year.

It is the first placement done by CS Machogu.
