• Speaking on Friday during the KU 52 Graduation Ceremony, Gachagua said that the second lady is a product of KU.

• Gachagua revealed that President William Ruto also met Mama Rachael Ruto at KU.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday revealed how he met his wife Dorcas Gachagua at Kenyatta University.

Speaking on Friday during the KU 52 Graduation Ceremony, Gachagua said that the second lady is a product of KU.

"Back in the year 1987, I took bus number 45 to hang around here, looking around. We would go to KU and spend some time there. And as I walked around Ruwenzori hall, I saw a good girl, talked and sang a poem to her and she accepted my request," he said.

Gachagua said that he is happy KU gave him a great wife.

The DP said that he has not been disappointed since he met her 33 years ago.

"I am happy that this University gave me a great wife. I have not been disappointed in the last 33 years, not a single day has she ever run away and she doesn't have a single scratch," he said.

Gachagua revealed that President William Ruto also met Mama Rachael Ruto at KU.

The DP said that they (Ruto and him) love KU because it gave them good wives.
