COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has today met President William Ruto a few days after giving signals of working with the Kenya Kwanza government.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Atwoli detailied that he had paid a courtesy call to the Head of State for discussions on Kenya's ratification of ILO C190 and outsourcing of labour.

"This morning I paid a courtesy call to H.E President William Ruto whereby we held discussions on Kenya's ratification of ILO C190 and outsourcing of labour.

"I also sought an appointment with the Head of State to meet and share with all @COTU_K Affiliated General Secretaries," Atwoli tweeted.

Atwoli was in Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja camp in the run-up to the August 9 general election.

He campaigned fiercely against Ruto's presidency, at one point going on record stating that Ruto will never succeed former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Atwoli is part of a delegation from the Luhya community that met Ruto at the State House Thursday.

Others who accompanied him are Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale, former Kakamega gubernatorial candidate Cleophas Malala and Rashid Echesa, among others.
