Kindiki has recently scaled up his security trips across banditry-prone areas to assess security challenges and make interventions to enhance security.

On Thursday, Kindiki ordered for the immediate recruitment of 200 National Police Reservists to be deployed along the borders of Wajir and Isiolo counties.

He also directed the vetting, training and armament of chiefs and their assistants in the area to help with maintenance of law and order.

Addressing residents in Wajir, he also directed the formation of 20-member council of elders drawn from both counties to formulate initiatives for lasting inter-community peace.
