KRA assistant manager dies after falling off building

His death comes days after a mason fell off a building he was building in the Kilimani area.

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) employee on Friday died after falling off the Times Tower building. 

The man who was an Assistant Manager at the business unit in the company was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

In a statement posted on social media, the authority regretted the incident.

"It is with deep regret that we inform you of the demise of one of our staff during an incident that happened at our Times Tower Offices this afternoon," the statement read. 

The Authority said the staff succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment in the hospital. 

His death comes days after a mason fell off a building he was building in the Kilimani area.

Police and witnesses said the victim identified as Charles Mutuku Muema, 45, was busy at work when he slid and fell on his head.

He was at work Monday, November 7 at about 5 pm when the incident happened within Wilma Court along Elgeyo Marakwet Road.

Police were called to the scene and processed it before moving the body to the mortuary.

4 years ago a Man known as Steve Mumbo caught many by surprise after it was alleged he had jumped from the PwC building.

The PwC employee allegedly jumped off the 17th floor building.

It was not clear whether the death was accidental or it was suicide.
