Nairobi governor, Sakaja, has made a lot of promises to change Nairobi county ever since he was sworn in government.

Earlier yesterday, the governor posted on his Twitter stressing careless environmental care.

With the aid of the photos posted by the veteran, he warned those who clog the drainage systems.

As he informed Nairobi residents to desist from illegal dumping.

He started;

"As we unclog the drainage system throughout the city, let’s kindly desist from further illegal dumping."

He assured Kenyans to prepare for environmental war, saying anyone who will be spotted will undergo charges from the court.

The governor made it loud that his firm promised on rewarding anyone who will report such mischievous behavior.

It is expected of the person reporting to produce clear evidence, and all that can be achieved with aid of a video.

"Ukiona mtu aki dump and you record, Mulika kabisa; we arrest, prosecute, and split the fine. Will work on the county law to provide for this. Let’s keep our city clean."Noted Sakaja

Will this be achievable?

Last month, Governor Sakaja, pointed fingers at the previous administration for the garbage menace in Nairobi.

He proved himself that the current waste predicament is a result of neglect, illegal dumping, and contractors downing their tools over unpaid dues.

That same month, Sakaja promised that his government will deliver to Nairobians as he had promised before.

He assured Nairobi residents of a green bond, that will be used to build a mass transit system and expand the infrastructure for waste management and water distribution.

According to Sakaja, his administration has collected at least 70 tonnes of garbage since taking over, and efforts are underway to find a long-term solution.

The news came to Kenyans as job employment, and most of them were so optimistic about the idea, and this is what they had to say.
