The well-known journalist was in Kenya at Kwenia Farm in Kajiado where he spent the weekend, a land owned by his friend of Pakistani origin.

It is reported that Ashraf in the company of his brother Khurram Ahmed left the farm as he continued to file an investigative story he continued been working on as the brother drove.
