• Uhuru Kenyatta handed in power to William Ruto after he emerged the winner in the August 9th general elections.
• It is not clear whether Uhuru Kenyatta was with his wife and kids or not.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is enjoying his retirement and we can't help but be envious.
Uhuru was recently spotted enjoying a good time at Maasai Mara.
Kenyatta is in the Mara with a team of 10 among them is outgoing Tourism Cabinet Secretary (CS) Najib Balala.
Mr. Kenyatta is said to have traveled by road with a motorcade of six vehicles from Nairobi.
It has been hinted that the former Head of State has completed what seems like his retirement home in Transmara.
Kenyatta has a ranch in Narok and that may explain why he was potted there last week.
His neighbors can't get enough of the man who they could only see on TV before.
"He loves Mara and the hospitality around here. Anytime he passes by, he greets people. We are glad that he loves this place, he is a nice neighbor," said one of the locals.
Uhuru was appointed as the peace envoy for the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa by President William Ruto.
The appointment means the former president continues chairing regional peace interventions on behalf of the Government of Kenya.
The announcement was made by Ruto when delivering his inauguration maiden speech as the President at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.
