The death of Barrack Otieno Oduor, after a night out in the company of two friends, has shocked many.
Oduor was described as fun-loving and dedicated by those who knew him.
The big question is what transpired before he was shot by a Club Manager from Kisumu?
Here is a timeline of events leading to Oduor's death.
He was enjoying drinks at Victoria Garden Estate in Riat with his two friends a man and a woman.
After spotting Oduor and his friends, the manager was upset and hastily left the Dondez and returned to his workplace.
He later left his workplace without informing his colleagues where he was going, only to emerge at the woman’s residence and find the trio at the estate.
Odor and his male friends went to Victoria Gardens at the invitation of a female friend who is alleged to be the cause of the shooting.
After reaching the estate where their female friend lived, an argument ensued between the suspect and Oduor’s friend.
He intervened to stop the arguments only to end up being shot.
Oduor’s friend sustained a gunshot wound in the leg and was taken to Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu where he is recuperating.
A report filed at the Obunga Police Station said the suspect took off with Oduor’s firearm.
Ida’s head of security David Masaga said they had lost a diligent officer and a colleague.
