On this chilly Christmas eve morning, the people of Nyamira joined Naomi Nyagarama in mourning the death of her husband, Governor Jon Obiero Nyagarama.

A police chopper carrying the first ever governor of Nyamira's body landed at Riamanoti Primary School where a brief service will be held before heading to Nyamira.

Scores of mourners received the body of the Governor who succumbed to the coronavirus on December 18, 2020.

Nyagarama will be accorded a state funeral where president Uhuru Kenyatta and other dignitaries will attend.
