When you meet them an event performing, no one can tell who they really are. They are always joyous, energetic and so passionate about their job. A member of a popular Kenyan music band has been accused of wife battering by his long time girlfriend Catherine.

As they say marriage is not a bed of roses and so it was for Catherine, who was thrilled when her man proposed to her sometime last year; only for him to change.

For legal reasons; we'll call the band member "Mr X."

"X and I have been dating for some time and after he proposed last year; we moved in together. But things weren't as rosy as I expected to I moved back home. On the 10th April this year he asked me to go to his place so we could talk. Out of respect for the time we had been together, I went to his home in Kariobangi South but he was super drunk," narrates the inconsolable lady.

Catherine explains further what happened that night after she refused to talk to him because he was drunk. "He started beating me and I could no longer persevere so I left to go back to my parent's house. He has been visiting frequently asking me to go back but I can't," she says. Mr X, on the other hand, tried reaching her on the phone but she did not pick up nor respond to his messages.

Mr X went ahead and told her to take the story to the tabloids so that it could go viral. He also threatened to sue her in case she involves his company (the band) in their relationship issues.

Catherine also talks about how the manager of the popular band is always defending the band members yet they commit a lot of evil things but go unpunished. Below are the screenshots of Mr X trying to convince Catherine to go back to him so that they could sort out their differences.
