Propesa, a fast rising local Kalenjin comedy group from Nakuru continue to take the internet by storm, causing ripples in the laugh industry thanks to their hilarious sketches which has turned them into celebrities.
The group that is made up of Kimutai Rono (Propesa), Dennis Kipyegon (Ptangus), Kiprono Ruto (Larry Matayo) and Kipyegon Too (Chemosi) has been posting short skits touching on various subjects.
Their sketches mainly tackle different issues that vary from social problems to sports and politics hence making it easier to understand why Kenyans have grown fond of their art.
Today happens to be Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko’s birthday and with the flamboyant legislator announcing he will be marking this special day at his free medical camp in Nairobi, the Propesa family came through with probably the best birthday gift Mheshimiwa will probably receive in the course of the day.
Sonko’s Facebook post reads in part: This year I will spend my birthday at my free medical camp at Nyayo stadium with the sick especially those who cannot afford to be treated in our private hospitals. I will refer all complicated cases to various private hospitals I have partnered with at my cost.
Propesa, who are now famed for their ‘Chaget’ political party offered Mr. Sonko a direct nomination in a bid to strengthen his position ahead of the August elections, not forgetting the benefits he would bring on board in regards to helping Propesa in recruiting and protecting ‘prayer partners’.
The hilarious group went ahead to sing a traditional Kalenjin song in celebration of this special day.
