DJ Evolve - real name Felix Orinda - who is reported to have been shot on the neck today morning by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is in ICU.

His mother, Mary Adhiambo Hongo has in an exclusive interview with said that her son is set to undergo an operation.

'For now he can talk but he is still very weak.

As we are talking he is being taken to the theater for a spinal operation.

The shot interfered with his spinal cord so they are going to operate on him so we are praying that he will be well.'

Mary revealed that when she heard the news, her first reaction was fear for her son.

She rushed to the hospital to see how their son was doing before finding out what transpired.

"I spoke to him but he is in a lot of pain, he has not told us anything because he is very weak."

Babu's lawyer Cliff Ombetta said that the incident was regrettable and that it was never an intentionally shooting.

'This morning a person who Babu came to realize later is a friend approached him in 

so he reacted and eventually someone was shot.

It is regrettable and there was never an intention to commit a crime.' Said Ombetta.
