What really caught our eye is how Islamic traditions were observed to the letter at the occasion. Male and female journalists from various media houses were not allowed to sit together. In addition, female journalists not wearing a headscarf were not allowed to ask any questions directly. The journalists thought they had seen it all at this point. Further rules stated that the female journalists with no headscarfs had to write their questions on a piece of paper, pass them to their male colleagues who would then ask the questions on their behalf.

Well I guess when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
