Lawyer Musyoka Mbithi Kimeu has been charged with rape in a Machakos court.

The court heard that, on the 10th day of September 2017 at Rendezvous Bar and Restaurant in Machakos town, the accused unlawfully caused his manhood to penetrate the private parts of Mercy John without her consent.

The accused was also charged with committing an indecent act with an adult. That on the same day he touched the private parts of the complainant with his manhood without her will.

Appearing before Senior Principal Magistrate Caroline Ocharo, the accused pleaded not guilty to both charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh 50,000.

Hearing of the case is set for January 31, 2018.
