Citizen TV host Loluou Hassan has taken to social media to celebrate her former colleague Kanze Dena, who now works at State House.

Kanze Dena turns a year older today and Loulou can't hold her excitement.

Taking to her social media to celebrate her BFF, she penned

Your birthday is a beautiful occasion all by itself. However, for me, it’s a special day allowing me to thank God for all that your friendship has meant to me.

Happy Birthday mamii ❤❤❤❤

Kanze and Loulou were co-hosts on Citizen TV before she got a job at State house where she is the Statespokesperson.

So emotional was their partying that they shed tears

A teary Kanze Dena recounted her experience of gracing your screen for 15 years.

She joined Citizen TV in March, 2007. Until then, she was a news anchor at national broadcaster KBC.

She said:

“All was possible because of God and individual discipline.”

Her co-anchor, Lulu Hassan, also had an emotional speech Sunday as she and her “twin” separate after several years together.

“In whatever work that you do, be it small or big, ensure that you put God at the forefront of your plans. He has a way of lifting those who bow before Him.

“It was such a journey; and such a pleasure working with you. I wish you well too, Lulu Hassan.' added Ms Dena.

“This is day is sad to us, the Citizen TV family. However, it is a day for Kanze Dena to embark on a new task; a new journey. I wish her well,” said Lulu Hassan

Kanze has been keeping a low profile after it was alleged that she  was on maternity leave.

She has never confirmed nor denied the claims but going by her body transformation it might be true.
