Kevin Mwebia Munene commonly known as Boutross is one of the most talented performing artists that is gracing Kenyans with banger after banger.
In the month of February one of his latest hit "Angela" had reached 1 billion views on TikTok. The hook to the song came up as a result of a freestyle before the song was written.
On Boomplay he has over 10 million streams. Boutross started rapping at the age of 12 at local talent shows and around his home, Highrise Estate.
He refers to his music as "Sharp Music" basically meaning a type of rap that is delivered in sheng language.
Apart from being an amazing artist Boutross assists other aspiring artists to achieve their dreams.
In 2013 he took the hit maker of "Piga Luku" Jovie Jovv to his first-ever studio session.
"I will always be proud of what Boutross has done. I still remember he took me to my first studio recording session ever back in 2013, keep on winning," said Jovie.
His motive is not to be seen as if he is above all other artist, he just lives to make music that is relevant and that people will enjoy.
"I never strive on being the king or the best. I strive on being relevant annually," he shared.
The first thing he does every morning when he wakes up is watching a movie. The man also loves his flavored teas, especially jasmine tea and which you cannot take away from him.
One song he lives by is "Sexual Healing" by the legendary Marvin Gaye.
One thing he loves the most about the Kenyan entertainment industry is that at the moment there are so many opportunities and he intends to make the most out of them.
He hopes that his fans can remember him for his cooking, yes, the man can cook. For the big girls worry not, you are his type.
