Mary Kilobi, the wife to COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has dedicated a message of remembrance to her late father.

Mary took to her social media, recalling their happy moments. She penned a message honoring his memory years on. Her dad died in 20220 March. Mariah Kilobi Atwoli noted, "it's March again daddy".

The KTN journalist captioned TBT pictures of her father Samson Weyusi Kilobi immaculately dressed in a suit with a friend of his, posing deep in discussion.

"And the memories bring back you, theres a time that I remember when I did not know pain . now my heart feel like December when somebody say your name," she wrote lyrics to a song.

In 2020, while announcing the news of his demise, Kilobi said that he too was a trade unionist much like her husband Francis is currently.

He died March 29, 2020. Her dedication told of her loss. She told that he was her support system, and the glue holding them together.

"You were my support system Papa, my number 1 fan. I've always been papa's girl. You were so proud of me and you talked abt me to everyone who cared to listen," Kilobi wrote.

During the burial of mzee Samson, Atwoli lovingly described their relationship saying that they enjoyed a close relationship with the deceased.

Atwoli described his father-in-law as a man who was pure of heart and never held grudges with anybody.

"We loved the old man and he loved us too and I still had several pending projects I was supposed to accomplish with him to help the homestead.

"I know where Samson has gone to. I spent a lot of time with him, even at Mary's graduation, he has a pure heart and a heart is the temple of God," he stated.

Kilobi had lost her brother a year before her father died a loss that had been too much for her to bear.

Her brother Emmanuel Weyusia was shot dead on October 9, 2019.

"I can’t believe this hot brother of mine Emmanuel Weyusia has gone to be with the Lord. Marsh we’ve lost you to some cruel people who shot you," Mary penned on her Facebook page when revealing the sad news to Kenyans.
