Samidoh & Desagu helps top Kenyan tour firm bag 2 awards

They work with musicians and top celebrities

Kenyan celebrities have been on the move lately, teaming up with potential partners in their day-to-day hustles. 

Their huge following both on and off social media has helped different companies build reputable brands that are trusted by many. 

One of those brands reaping off these collaborations is Expedition Masaai as they confess working with celebrities made them one of the most trusted travel companies in Kenya.

Speaking during the annual Topscorebrands Awards held on Thursday, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, the company's chief executive officer Mr. Pancras Karema said the company has experienced tremendous growth ever since they started working with artistes and even rewarding newsmakers.

"I would tell people that social media has a lot of influence and since we picked singer Samidoh, comedian Desagu, and former celebrity Machachari actor Baha, we have seen a tremendeous growth," he said.

"Don't underestimate the influence of social media."

The awards are a recognition of their contribution to the recovering tourism sector in Kenya.

The CEO also talked about the tour firm's flexible payment plan dubbed "Commit Kidogo Kidogo" through which customers, including local tourists, save for their dream holidays within the country and even abroad.

The Topscorebrands Awards are held annually and aim to recognize, rank, and award companies for their exceptional performances through an independent review with the goal of creating trustable, transparent, accountable, and reliable brands globally.

They won the “Kenya’s Most Affordable and Caring Travel Agency” and ‘Kenya’s Most trusted Travel Company” awards.

A few weeks ago, the tour company Lukreshia Elizabeth Robai, the 22-year-old nurse who went viral after she was captured dancing in a hospital.

She was given four days' holiday in Zanzibar and an Ambassador job for one year.

The travel agency also rewarded Alvin Kaunda, and his camerawoman with a three-day safari in Kenya’s most famous game reserve, the Maasai Mara.

The KBC journalist made news after his video of a baby elephant interrupting his live reporting went viral.
