JCC founders Kathy and Allan Kiuna have been thrown into mourning.
The couple is mourning the death of Nigerian artist Sammie Okposo.
The 51-year-old allegedly died of a heart attack.
The Nigerian singer died in the early hours of Friday, November 25, his staff has confirmed.
The Kiunas' eulogized Sammie as a talented musician saying they would miss him dearly.
"Sammie , @sammieokposo you were such a wonderful brother and I enjoyed your fellowship every time you came to Nairobi. I loved you dearly and will miss you. You left an indelible impact in @jcckenya and we celebrate you. Fare thee well , my friend until we meet again." Wrote Allan.
Kathy further penned
"Still can’t believe you are gone too soon Sammy. We truly enjoyed your ministry. Sing on Sammy sing on. @ozyokposo we stand with you. Jehovah reigns"
Okposo released several tracks in his career and also performed around the world with a number of musicians. He was also serving as the United Nations Youth Ambassador.
Sammie was married to Ozy Okposo.
