A Malawi lady's academic qualification has been nullified by her former University after she was recorded burning her Business Administration degree.

She claimed that the certificate was not as useful as she thought it would be. The lady identified as Soko, said that whenever she sees her certificate, it gives her trauma of not getting job.

“You reach a point of getting tired,” Soko said in the video. “Whenever I see this degree, it gives me fake promises that I will get a job.”

Some allegedly provoked the institution to revoke her degree after her decision, stating that they aren't as useful as the qualification should be. Others also demanded a full refund of school fees to Ms. Soko after the revocation.

This coincidentally comes a week  after an engineering graduate  from university of Nairobi threatened to burn his degree.

The graduate identified as Clinton, trended on social media about his lack of getting a job despite having the degree.

He said that he had reached his limit after countless rejections in his job and internship applications.

He said he had been motivated to get to the finish line in undergraduate studies and in style as an honours student.

He soon learnt that things were different on ground despite making several attempts to get a job. He said that he had to go to the village in search of a job but all that was in vain.

He tried his hands in coding to expand his job search prospects but all bore no fruits. It is then that he decided to try blogging, his last post catching the attention of many online.

"I tried engineering it failed, software it failed, so I decided to get a camera and start content," he said.

He added that;

"I'm just telling my case, my truth and the truth that is the job market, there are millions without jobs."
