The WhatsApp application is down and that is affecting millions of users with many being unable to send or receive texts or make voice/video calls.
The messages sent to groups were also hanging, while those sent to individuals only show a single tick.
More than 2 billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family, anytime and anywhere. Meta is yet to give a statement on the outage.
