You are more likely to die on Nairobi's Outering Road than on any other road in the city, latest data from the National Transport and Safety Authority shows.

According to the survey, Outering Road is the riskiest road in Nairobi where at least 44 people died in road crashes in 2021.

Waiyaki Way takes the second spot as the riskiest, accounting for 38 deaths in 2021.

Mombasa Road comes third, with the survey showing 29 people perished on the road over the same period.

The data did not, however, indicate who among drivers, passengers, pedestrians, motorcyclists and pedal cyclists accounted for the most fatalities.

Other roads listed as the most dangerous are Northern bypass, Southern bypass and Eastern bypass which accounted for 29,28 and 27 deaths respectively.

Thika Superhighway came in as the seventh most dangerous having claimed 25 lives. It was followed by Kangundo Road where 23 lives were lost while Ngong Road claimed 22 lives.

All other roads, including North Airport road that was once marked as the most dangerous had less than 20 fatalities in 2021.

Jogoo and Juja roads all had 14 deaths each, Lang'ata and North Airport roads 13 deaths each while Kiambu road had 6.

Limuru and Naivasha roads each had five deaths, while Enterprise road, Haile Selassie Avenue, Landhis road, Lusaka road and Prof Wangari Maathai road had four deaths each in 2021.
