Halloween celebrations gradually becoming famous among Kenyans

Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on the 31st of October.

The tradition originated with the ancient Celtics festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick or treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.

This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death.

Halloween is commonly celebrated by westerners but Kenyans, especially in Nairobi, have embraced this holiday.

Some public figures like Youtuber  Georgina Njenga are adopting the costume tradition.

There are more than one upcoming Halloween party in Nairobi.

Some of these parties are like: the village market 23rd Halloween party, spirited nairobi-halloween day special.

Halloween costume party at spiking kitchen bar Ngong road nairobi and a film called stray will be screening in Nairobi as part of the Halloween shorts.
