Mother to veteran radio presenter Alex Mwakideu was finally laid to rest on Saturday at Kinyeshamvua village, Wundanyi, Taita Taveta county.

Mwakideu's mother passed away last week in Nairobi barely six months after losing a sister.

Media personalities among them Mwakideu's colleagues Jalang'o, presenter Dee, Radio Citizen's Jerida Andayi attended the burial.

Many eulogized Mwakideu's mother as a great woman.

The late was also mother to media personality Justus Mwakideus and gospel singer Rozinah.

Justus took to social media to thank everyone who supported them during the difficult time.

His message read,
