Fans of the popular DJ MWAS are mourning his passing after a grisly road accident last evening involving his private car with a lorry in the Kericho-Litein highway.

He was in the car with his wife, Yvette Chepkemoi.

The governor of Kericho county, H.E.Prof.Paul Kiprono Chepkwony sent out his condolence in a media statement.

It read,

"I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the late DJ Mwas, who perished alongside her dear wife,Yvette Chepkemoi last evening in a grisly road accident which occurred at Chelilis area along Litein-Kericho highway."

Adding,

"DJ Mwas, was a young entrepreneur with a promising future in the entertainment industry. His humility and hard work earned him respect and friends from all quarters. Their sudden death comes at the time the couple had just started to establish themselves in life."

The governor paid tribute saying, "R.I.P Mwas and your dear wife."
