Singer Phy first graced our screens as one of the contestants in the Airtel - Trace Music Stars musical show that ran earlier this year. She took the second position in the Kenyan charter, winning the hearts of millions of Kenyans across the country.

The gorgeous, soulful, fashionable and irresistibly charming lyrist surfaced again, this time round taking part in the Maisha Superstar competition. She won, taking home a cool 1.2 million shilling.

A graduate of the Sauti Academy, she has just dropped the anthem of the festive season. On the track are two of Kenya's finest rappers, Khaligraph Jones and King Kaka.

Ruka is a song for the free and fun loving individual who doesn't necessarily need to be in a club to have fun.nywhere. Gosh, where was this jam all this time? I'm an indoor person and it perfectly suits me!

It's that feel good song that lifts your spirits and by all means everyone is allowed to shout themselves hoarse every time the chorus comes on.

"I can't be the only one that locks myself in my room then jumps frantically on my bed to blaring music. Luckily I made us a theme song," says Phy.

The song is a lead to her upcoming album dubbed Phylosophy which features also features Kagwe Mungai.
