The current Member of Parliament for Gatundu South Moses Kuria has been arrested.

Kuria was arrested in Westlands, Nairobi on Friday, January 10, on allegations that he recently physically assaulted Royal Media Services radio presenter Joyce Wanja, popularly known as Wagichungumwa.

Kuria has been taken to Kiliami Police Station.

The drama between Wagichungumwa and Moses Kuria began back in December 8, 2019.

In a video that has surfaced online, Wagichungumwa, claims that she was assaulted while at Royal Media Services (RMS) studios.

This was during a panel discussion, around the Buiding Bridges Initiative (BBI) report on Inooro TV’s Kirerebe, it was very heated.

During the show, Moses Kuria, who was also a guest, was asked to retract the distasteful undergarment comments targeted at women that he made at a function to help orphans in Kiambu the previous week.

Kuria had allegedly accused the women of wearing smelly undergarments.

According to police records, Wagichungumwa claims Moses Kuria “slapped her on her left upper arm”.
