That was the headline to the story in which I introduced you to Paulette Alusa, the Kenyan on Twitter who had gone on social media to brag about stealing Davido's phone. The tweets in which she alleged that are in the article for you to check out.

Well, she gave me a call to threaten me with a lawsuit for the story in which this tweet features:

But when we spoke further she told me she meant no harm by the tweet saying she was merely trolling. What I am having a tough time understanding is the fact that she tweeted this message which incriminates herself then comes out fiercely to say it was all a joke.

I come from a household with Old school mothers. As I was growing up I was taught that whether for good or ill, we will be judged based on the words we speak as they are an advertisement of who we are.

"i ga-eri site na gi onwe gi onu!"

That is my attempt at quoting a phrase I have heard so often that says,

You will be eaten by your own mouth!

Basically, what you say is what will be used to crucify you. However, Alusa wanted to clear her name and asserts that it was all a troll.

"You have no idea what you have done! My parents are calling me asking about what they have heard. Listen, what's your name, Chum Chim Tunde, I did not at any point say I stole the phone."

"I was just trolling! My lawyers will call you shortly!"

To her credit, she was calm and collected when she was on the phone with me.
