After being thrown into prison a few days ago, controversial gynaecologist Mugo Wa Wairimu has turned to God and is now begging Kenyans to pray for him.

The 40-year-old is being detained at Industrial Area Remand Prison after telling a judge that he skipped court sessions because he of being admitted at a maternity ward.

He was also accused of interfering with witnesses by putting up posts on the ongoing case before a judge ordered that he be detained for 10 days pending a ruling on the case.

Although life behind bars does not seem to be that bad for him being that he can access his mobile phone, Mugo is now requesting people to pray for him.

A few hours ago, he put up a social media post asking his fans to pray for him so that he gets justice.

This is what he posted:

Still at industrial area remand prison block L5. To all those who care, say a prayer for me tonight - A Prayer that justice will be done this Friday when I appear in court this Friday. Meanwhile, I have also said my prayer that justice be done not just to me, but to all parties in the matter at hand. As JFK said, the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of GOD. AMEN. ALUTA CONTINUA!

Mugo Wa Wairimu became infamous late last year after Citizen TV exposed how he sedated female patients before raping them at his clinic in Githurai 44.

He was arrested shortly after and has been in and out of court since then.
