Vlogger and media personality Jacque Maribe finally set the record straight on when she broke up with murder suspect Joseph "Jowie" Irungu.

Jacque was speaking to True Love's Carole Mandi where she said,

"I want to correct the fact that he said we broke up while he was still inside. We had broken up before. Let's be honest about it. The body language in court was clear. It had happened before let's be honest about it. He is not someone I would mad sling or anything.

This was after Jowie was on Jalango's Youtube Channel back in August saying they broke up while he was incarcerated at Kamiti Maximum Prison.

The ex-couple were both charged for the murder of businesswoman Monicah Kimani.

Asked if he still keeps in touch with Jacque, Jowie told Jalango,

"I decided not to (keep in touch) as in ile tuu we broke up while i was still inside, we talked and let this go."

Jacque summed up their one-year whirlwind relationship that culminated into a proposal as a huge "regret" that cost her a chance at a dream career.

"This man was that person for me. The one you feel like if I ever had any regrets, this is it, I don't believe in regrets but if regret was a person that would be it."

She added,

"I don't like to speak about him because I feel like if you want to speak your truth people come and judge you with, 'Ohh you are still bitter'."

Jacque continued,

"I see now he has moved on, so people are going to talk and say why are you talking about him. I don't talk about him because I don't want to talk about him out of sheer respect of him moving on with his life. Where we are now we charter our own paths."
