Two years ago, popular Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando was trending for all the wrong reasons.

A bad 'rumour' that she had procured an abortion went viral and became a topic of discussion around the East Africa region.

It later emerged that indeed she had an abortion. However, it was not just an ordinary abortion.

Read all the details about that here:

After that controversial episode, more and more not so positive rumours about her continue to emerge.

Last year, there was yet another rumour that she had 'given up' her faith on Jesus Christ following a series of misfortunes that had befallen on her. She was said to have been toying with the idea of converting back to Islam. Remember she is a Christian convert from Islam.

She however dispelled the talk as baseless.

Later, she was caught up in a spat with a Kenyan gospel artiste L-Jay Maasai over money.

The two had collaborated in a song titled Olomaiyana, where the initial agreement was for L-Jay to pay her 300,000 shillings.

Months later, a furious Muhando said she felt disrespected when L-Jay gave her a cheque of Sh150,000 which later bounced.

That apart, Rose Muhando has been caught in yet another nasty rumour. It has been alleged that the Nibebe hit singer is abusing hard drugs!!!!

She has been forced to address the rumours that she’s indeed fighting drug addiction.

Muhando has rubbished the rumours as a scheme engineered by some people who she had previously "refused" to transact business with.

“I don’t abuse pills (drugs) and I will never abuse pills. The rumour mongers know very well I don’t have anyone who would come to my defense. I am not indulging in pills in any way, and the more they talk, the more it affects my family psychologically and emotionally. I am a mother to three children, I have relatives (they are being affected by the rumours). If that is the scandal my enemies thought would bring me down musically, then their efforts are futile. The propagators of those rumours asked me to work with them but I refused.” she told the Mwanaspoti Newspaper.
