One dead, several injured in Waiyaki Way accident (photos)

• The accident happened hours after four people died following an accident involving a Nissan matatu shuttle and a cane trailer along the Eldoret-Webuye highway.

• Ten others were seriously wounded in the accident, which occurred after the driver of the matatu, which was travelling from Bungoma to Nairobi lost control.

A bus carrying mourners was on Monday involved in an accident along Waiyaki Way near Safaricom.

One person was killed and several injured.

The mourners were coming from Uganda heading to Mathare when the incident happened.

The accident happened hours after four people died on the spot following an accident involving a Nissan matatu shuttle and a cane trailer at Musembe along the Eldoret-Webuye highway.

Ten others were seriously wounded in the accident, which occurred after the driver of the matatu, which was travelling from Bungoma to Nairobi lost control.
