Over the years, the Kenyan media landscape has lost some of its best stars to the inviting arms of county governments and state jobs.

After what started as a trickle since Kenya adopted devolution, now many journalists are taking the jump into working for government be it at the local level or the state level.

One of the notable names that initially started this migration from media to the county/state jobs was former State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena-Mararo.

Kanze left her plum Citizen TV anchor job to become the Deputy State House Spokesperson in June 2018.
