Some few days after Mike Mbuvi Sonko has taken over the governorship seat in Nairobi county, changes have been seen as he started by cleaning the town; removing campaign posters.

Soon there will be smooth rides for motorists who use Nairobi-Thika highway. This is after Sonko replied to a concerned resident online who was reminding the governor of the issue.

Yo  just a reminder that the first 50 days of your Governorship you should remove the bumps on Thika road please.

The newly elected governor responded to the issue by saying he never gives false promises and he promised to start the project within a week's time.

Most of the tedious traffic jams especially in highways build up as a result of these road bumps and since there is availability of footbridges they have less usage. Earlier in February this year Justice George Odunga had given the ministry of transport and Nairobi City County 60 days to remove bumps and rumble strips near the survey of Kenya Offices and Kenya Breweries plant in Ruaraka.
