Politician Karen Nyamu has come out to give her side of the story on her relationship with Muguthi icon, Samidoh.

This comes after Samidoh described their relationship as just "friends", in a statement that set the internet ablaze.

Speaking to Bonga na Jalas, Karen said,

"I have gotten calls from the high offices in this country. Asking me to play down this thing, we know it is obvious what is happening is PR. Just play it down."

Adding,

"But you see, it is very important to clear the air. I don't like how things have been handled, the tone that has been set, I don't like it. I'm not apologetic, a coward, I like living my truth. If my truth is hard that is my truth, I like being authentic."

Karen explained how she meet Samidoh.

"We meet at a political event he was performing in and we became friends. Can you imagine, I did not know Samidoh was married because he was not wearing a ring? I came to know, he was married after being his friend for 4 months. I was told by mafirifiri the MCA. He was not wearing ring."

She continued,

"He was not hitting on me immediately. I came to learn later when I was already in this thing. I'm not making excuses or playing a saint. The only thing I have a problem with is people thinking I'm a homewrecker, I wanted to break Samidoh's marriage or doing things to compete with the wife."

Karen added that she has been "friends" with Samidoh since 2019.
