The deadly disease has killed more than 8,200 people since it's outbreak in 2014. The government of Kenya in conjunction with the ministry of health and related health and disaster management agencies have worked hard to ensure that the malady doesn't infiltrate into the nation.

The disease has first discovered in 1976 when a 44-year-old teacher in DRC was diagnosed with the disease and died only two weeks later. The World Health Organization declared the disease a pandemic and a threat to the planet at large.

The disease, formerly known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever, is one of the world's worst virulent diseases – and the death percentage stands at 90 percent. The government has commissioned 170 health workers as part of an African Union (AU) initiative to help contain the disease. They will be stationed in Sierra Leone and Liberia. They'll be earning 450,000 per month.

Do you think that the volunteers are being paid enough for the deadly job?
