Gor Mahia FC Beaten 2-0 By Azam In The Cecafa Kagame Cup Finals

Defending Kenyan Premier League Champions Gor Mahia FC were beaten 2-0 by Azam FC of Tanzania who clinched the Cecafa Kagame Cup in an entertaining match played in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Gor Mahia who had support from the whole nation failed to impress when they lost 2-0 to Azam FC, one of the best clubs in East and Central Africa.

Former prime minister Raila Odinga, Senator James Orengo, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria were among the top officials who attended the Gor Mahia Vs Azam match.

Gor Mahia last won the title back in 1985; 30 years ago. Gor Mahia conceded 6 goals in the just concluded Cecafa Kagame Cup while the winners Azam FC conceded none. Gor Mahia performed well, but luck was not on their side.
