Scientists in the US claim that they have found a way to determine if someone will be gay or straight. They say that they found nine parts of a human's genetic code that play a role in someone's sexual orientation. They managed to do this by comparing the DNA of 47 pairs of twins. By digging deeper and studying the molecular formation of the nine genome sites, they could tell if a guy is/will be gay or straight with up to 70 percent accuracy.

Well, this is not a bad start knowing that it is hard to tell if someone is straight or gay by just looking at them.

"To our knowledge, this is the first example of a predictive model for sexual orientation based on molecular markers," Dr Tuck Ngun, the Lead Researcher from the University of California at Los Angeles said.

"Sexual attraction is such a fundamental part of life, but it's not something we know a lot about at the genetic and molecular level. I hope that this research helps us understand ourselves better and why we are the way we are," he added.

This could mean that in 5 years time, we can be able to tell a person's sexual orientation with more accuracy. Will you pay to know if you're gay?
